SERDAR SAMANCIOĞLU

a turkish painting artist

He was born in Tarsus, in 1951. He started his first painting studies in Mersin, in 1960. Later he had some local studies on nature and human beings. He settled in İstanbul, in 1973. in 1978 he was in Paris in order to make some studies and research. After his return to İstanbul, he made studies on the history and the cultural, architectural and natural richness of İstanbul. In 1985, he became a member in the board of directors of the Fıne Arts Union and had his first formal exibition in Y.K.B Galatasaray Kazım Taşkent Exibition Gallery.

Serdar Samancıoğlu has been continuing his art studies with water color and oil paintings and he is also a member of GESAM and Artists Association and his works are based on sentimental approaches which can be placed in original and concrete values. Some of his works are take place in local and foreign collections.
